He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Burke and Thelma Eschweiler (Kane); his sisters, Penny Ahumada and Mary Conrad; and his nephew Chris Conrad.
He is survived by: his wife Denise Clark-Burke of Independence; and his aunts, Barb Burke, Sonya Burke and Evelyn Sivils. He is also survived by cousins; dozens of nieces and nephews; and countless close friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Reiff Family Center - Independence (216 3rd Ave SE, Independence, IA 50644). Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the same location. The inurnment will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Quasqueton Cemetery.
