We are sad to announce that on November 18, 2022 we had to say goodbye to Virginia L. Smith of Independence, Iowa, born in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Virginia L. Smith to show support.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Lawrence W. Carlton and Evelyn Marie Carlton (Whipple); her husband Claude Smith Jr.; and her sister Nancy Taylor. She is survived by : her children, Tracy Bowers of Coralville, IA and Terri Jo Thompson (Rob) of Independence, IA; and her brother-in-law Roger Taylor (Nancy). She is also survived by seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.

Memorials will be directed to the church and Cedar Valley Hospice.
