As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Wendell may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale Vernon and Cora Ella Oliphant (Mollenhauer); his former wife Joann Thomas; his wife Sharon James Thurber; his son Gary Oliphant; his brother Dale "Buzz" Oliphant (Connie); and his nephew Phil Oliphant.
He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Linda Oliphant of Rowley; and his grandchildren, Jo Beth Goodpastor (James), Donovan Oliphant and Zach Oliphant (Kirsty). He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and two nieces.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Oliphant Cemetery in Rural Center.
