With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of David Allen Downey of Indianola, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 5, 2025 at the age of 64. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his children, Dillon Downey and Jordyan Downey; his grandchildren, Astrid, Apollo Downey and Matthew Crawford; his parents, Dixie Downey and Dwight Downey; his siblings, Penny Riedel (Scott) and Dennis Downey; and his pet Gunner.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Salem Connections (222 W Salem Ave, Indianola, IA 50125).
