Dwight Floyd Freeman Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dwight Floyd Freeman of Indianola, Iowa, who passed away on June 23, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Freeman and Dorothy Freeman (Wicker); his daughter Mollie Alcorn; his sister Juanita Dykstra (Robert); and his sister-in-law Barbara Freeman.
He is survived by: his wife Marcie; his children, Michael Freeman, Tom Hess (Sue) and Tami Jones (Lamont); his grandchildren, Andrew Hess, Megan Hess, Jackson Hess and Jeremiah Jones; and his brothers, Don Freeman (Linda) and Austin Freeman (Sheila). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Overton Funeral Home (501 W Ashland Ave, Indianola, IA 50125). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 at the Indianola I. O. O. F. Cemetery (1202 S Jefferson Way, Indianola, IA 50125).
Memorials in memory of Dwight can be given in his name to Taylor House Hospice or Friends of Warren County Conservation.
