Jeffrey Roy Schroder Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 20, 2025, at the age of 70, Jeffrey Roy Schroder of Indianola, Iowa, born in West Union, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Schroder and Gertrude Lauer Schroder (Lauer); his brother-in-law John Meyer; and his parents-in-law, Marvin and Ferne Wessels.
He is survived by: his wife Gwen; his daughters, Alison Stewart (Mitchell) and Emily Sturtz (Lane); his grandchildren, Remy, Isla, Bodey and Blythe; and his sisters, Kathy Meyer and Carol Robinson (Roger). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Overton Funeral Home (501 W Ashland Ave, Indianola, IA 50125). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Simpson College (701 N C St, Indianola, IA 50125).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (because it bothered dad so much to think about a child going through the discomfort of cancer treatments).
