We are sad to announce that, on May 24, 2026, at the age of 83, John Wayne Schletzbaum (Indianola, Iowa), born in Atchison, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Esther Schletzbaum and Wayne Schletzbaum; and his grandson Alex Lynch. He is survived by: his wife Donna Schletzbaum; his children, David Schletzbaum (Esther), Deanna Dunn (Mike) and Jana Lynch (Jeremy); his grandchildren, Vanessa Bernard (Jonathan), Adriana Salas, Garrett Schletzbaum (Haleigh), Rachel McMillan, Lauren Caldwell (Will), Adam Dunn, Connor Lynch and Brady Dunn; his great grandchildren, Lorenzo, Leo and Makenna; and his sisters, Sharon Steuart (Ken) and Donna Willoughby (Chris).
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in memory of John to the Iowa Chapter of the American Parkinson Disease Association and to St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.
