Joseph Colacecchi Sr. Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joseph Colacecchi Sr. of Indianola, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 2, 2025 at the age of 95. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joseph Colacecchi Sr. to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his son Joseph Colacecchi Jr.; his parents, Gino Colacecchi and Susan Colacecchi; and his sisters, Lydia, Helen, Rita and Olga.
He is survived by: his wife Joanne; his children, Jay Colacecchi (Jonette) and Jane Colacecchi (Tom Farley); his grandchildren, Jamie Colacecchi, Julianne Counsellor (Seth) and Jessica (Brian); his great grandchild Evelyn Counsellor; his sister Annemarie Knoll; Joseph Colacecchi. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the First United Methodist Church (307 W Ashland Ave, Indianola, IA 50125). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery (34024 Veterans Memorial Dr, Adel, IA 50003).
Memorial contributions may be made in Joe's memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
