It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lyle A DeFord of Indianola, Iowa, who passed away on December 14, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Alfred and Olive Mae DeFord (Miller) of Afton, IA; his daughter Marlys Ruth; his siblings, Leanna DeFord, Glenn DeFord and Juanita Fitzgerald; and his grandson Dustin DeFord.
He is survived by: his sons, David Mark, Joel Alfred (Brenda) of Ladysmith, WI., Stephen Carl and Curtis James; his wife Emily Leah Lord; his brother John (Susan) of Broomfield, CO.; and his children, Mark DeFord (Roberta) of Linden, Timothy DeFord (Rita) of Winterset, IA., Steve DeFord (Celeste) of Ekalaka, MT., Curt DeFord (Shelly) of Emmettsburg, IA., Susan McClure (Colin) of Creighton, NE. and Douglas DeFord (Coral) of Indianola. He is also survived by 42 grandchildren and 79 great grandchildren.
