She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Frank Miller and Gretchen Maria Robinson Miller; and her daughter-in-law Tilly Van Egmond. She is survived by: her children, John Hoffman (Amy) of Pleasantville, Iowa, Daniel Hoffman and Suzanne Hoffman of Pinson, Alabama; her grandsons, Zebulon Van Hoffman and Zendan Van Hoffman; her brothers, Robert Miller (Fran) of Pleasantville and Thomas Miller (Joyce) of Runnells, Iowa; her niece Andrea Strayer (Kent) of Iowa City, Iowa; her nephews, Greg Miller (Linda) of Indianola and Matt Miller (Marja) of Pella, Iowa; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Whitney Lehigh (Ted), Ashley Brandt (Dillon), Kelsey Bloom (Branden), Greta Miller, Brian Strayer, Mark Strayer and Sam Miller.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials in memory of Marilyn be given to Wesley Life Hospice or the Indianola Church of Christ.
