She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Frank Miller and Gretchen Maria Robinson Miller; and her daughter-in-law Tilly Van Egmond. She is survived by: her children, John Hoffman (Amy) of Pleasantville, Iowa, Daniel Hoffman and Suzanne Hoffman of Pinson, Alabama; her grandsons, Zebulon Van Hoffman and Zendan Van Hoffman; her brothers, Robert Miller (Fran) of Pleasantville and Thomas Miller (Joyce) of Runnells, Iowa; her siblings' children, Andrea Strayer (Kent) of Iowa City, Iowa, Greg Miller (Linda) of Indianola and Matt Miller (Marja) of Pella, Iowa; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Whitney Lehigh (Ted), Ashley Brandt (Dillon), Kelsey Bloom (Branden), Greta Miller, Brian Strayer, Mark Strayer and Sam Miller.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Overton Funeral Home (501 W Ashland Ave, Indianola, IA 50125). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials in memory of Marilyn be given to Wesley Life Hospice or the Indianola Church of Christ.
