He is survived by: his children, Janet Holen (Bruce), Kenneth Kester and Roger Kester (Kathy); his granddaughter Alyssa Downing (Ryan); and his great grandchildren, Danny, Madalyn and Colton Downing.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Grace Church (108 N Jefferson Way, Indianola, IA 50125). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at the Palmyra Cemetery (5789 S23 Hwy, Carlisle, IA 50047).
Memorials in memory of Marvin may be given to Grace Church.
