He is survived by: his parents, Rachel Bell and Matthew Bell; his sister Anna Bell; his extended family Mark Metzner; his children, Bailey, Aaron, Madison, Craig and Sandi Metzner; his grandchildren, Max, Lauren, Sophia and Olivia; his children, Karl and Caroline Metzner; his grandchildren, Gavin, Dashiell and Nathan; his children, Deborah and Ron Hartmann; his grandchildren, Micah, Gabrielle and Isaac; his daughter Cathy Kunisch; and his grandchildren, Kati, Eli, Jonah and Jacob.

His senior year began with COVID-19 protocols and a modified schedule, but Indianola High School graciously continued to allow the students to compete, perform, and excel.
