She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerald Schnieder and Delphine Schnieder; her husband Jim Hansen (James); and her sister Charlene Fisher. She is survived by: her daughter Lindsay Steding (Mike); her granddaughters, MacKenzie and Ashlyn; and her siblings, Sandy Schaffer (Delbert), Bonny Colwell (Jim) and Gary Schneider (Brenda). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Genie's family, St. Thomas Catholic Church, or Little Hospice of Edina, MN.
