He was predeceased by: his parents, Darrell "Ray" Prickett and Wilda Prickett; his wife Kathy Prickett; his grandchildren, Samuel King and Laney Jo Prickett; and his sister Jeanie Little.

He is survived by: his children, Amanda King (Russ), Sarah Blakely (Brian), Zack Prickett (Tina) and Emily McAllister (Ryan); his grandchildren, Noah King, Henry King, Joshua Blakely, Logan Buchanan, Grayson Prickett and Emmett McAllister; his close friend Rebecca Swainey; and his siblings, Leland Prickett (Peggy Clary), Laverne Prickett, Tom Prickett (Nancy) and Royce Prickett (Debbie). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Rod may be given to Trinity United Presbyterian Church Open Table.
