He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Homan and Jean Homan (Henrich); his parents-in-law, Jim and Kaddy Helmick; and his sister-in-law Sheila Helmick.
He is survived by: his wife Diane; his children, Rachel Farley (Brian), Liz Mueller (Derek) and Michael Homan (Rachel); his grandchildren, Ada, Cora Farley, Caden, Ellie, Benson and Beckett Mueller; his siblings, Carla Schaper (Don), Mike Homan (Jan), Nancy Reiken and Dave Homan (Cathy); his cousin Steve Henrich; his in-laws, Ann Williams (John), Barbara Helmick (Tiana), Craig Helmick and Jim Helmick; and his siblings' children, Gretchen, Adam, Eric, Jeff, Matt, Sara, Robert, Steven, Matthew, Nate, Jonathan, Elizabeth, Augusta and Abigail.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Overton Funeral Home (501 W Ashland Ave, Indianola, IA 50125). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Tom may be given to his two favorite places in town, The Indianola Country Club or The Indianola Public Library.
