She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Kooima and Bertha Kooima (Boscaljon); her husband George Halma; her son Gary Halma; her grandsons, Jamie Halma and Ryan Halma; her great grandchild Britton McCarty; her son-in-law Paul Van Ningen; and her siblings, William Kooima, Kenny Kooima (Dora), Rodney Kooima (Bonnie) and Henrietta Siemonsma (Bob).
She is survived by: her children, Wayne Halma (Becky) of Sioux Falls, Karen Cody (Jack) of Renner, Kathy Van Ningen of Bismark, Mary Grotewold (Spud), Barbara Hassebroek (Allen), Richard Halma (Paula) and Inwood; her sister Marilyn Rus (Lorn) of Rock Valley, Iowa; her daughter-in-law Ahva Halma of Brandon; and her sister-in-law Rena Cannegieter of Rock Valley. She is also survived by 29 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to the First Reformed Church of Inwood Building Fund or Fellowship Village of Inwood.
