He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Slaa and Theresa Te Slaa (Van Grootheest); his sister Judy Te Slaa; and his parents-in-law, Reinard and Dorothy Dykstra.
He is survived by: his wife Lora Dykstra of Inwood; his daughter Bethany Mullinix of Inwood; his grandchildren, Jeremie Mullinix of Bowman, Teegan Mullinix of Inwood and Nevaeh Mullinix of Inwood; his siblings, Melvin Te Slaa (Kathy) of Hull, Bob Te Slaa (Lisa) of Rock Valley and Karen Van Voorst (Jerry) of Hudson; and his pet Luna.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Inwood Museum (104 E Adams St, Inwood, IA 51240). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
