He is survived by: his parents, Ronald Ties and Margaret Ties (Long) of Graf, IA; his wife Kathryn "Kate" Barry of Iowa City, IA; his sons, Brian and Cooper Ties of Iowa City, IA; his brothers, Ron Ties (Regina) of Raeford, NC and Michael Ties (Molly) of Peosta, IA; his parents-in-law, Dennis and Mary Anne Barry of Dubuque, IA; his siblings-in-law, Jay Brittan of Edgerton, WI, Jennifer Nadermann (Korey) of Dubuque, IA and James Barry of Dubuque, IA; and his nieces and nephews, Marissa Czerniak (Liam), Olivia Brittan, Mackenzie Ties, Camron Ties, Ethan Ties, Addison Ties and Eli Ties.
