He is survived by: his son Joseph Winter; his siblings, Deborah Seemuth, Douglas Winter and Diana Winter (Jeff Murrah); and his grandchildren, Oliver and Margaret.
A Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (302 E Jefferson St, Iowa City, IA 52240).
