It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Earlene Slaymaker of Iowa City, Iowa, born in Manchester, Iowa, who passed away on November 7, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Hamlett and Mildred Hamlett (Nandell); her husband Bob Slaymaker; her sister Beverly Edelen; her siblings-in-law, Tom Goodrich, Charlie Edelen, Rita Becker, Ruth and Chuck Tomas; and her mother-in-law Elma Slaymaker.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kim Fiala (Joe) of Troy Mills and Kris Stahle (Jim) of Iowa City; her grandchildren, Melissa Henstorf (Kyle), Morgan Burnell (Tony), Matthew Fiala (Shelby), Kyle Stahle (Justine) and Kody Stahle; her great grandchildren, Maxwell, Meridith, Kinley, Katalina Henstorf, Jayda, Beau, Briggs, Josie Burnell, Mavrik, Myles Fiala, Rhett and Judson Stahle; her sister Lynda Goodrich; and her brother-in-law Ted Becker.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to her family to be distributed to organizations that were important to Dutch.
