It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas K Bauer of Iowa City, Iowa, who passed away on May 4, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frances Agnes Bauer (Kleese) and Eldin Charles Bauer; his sister Sandra; his brother-in-law Sheldon Kongable; and his parents-in-law, Bernice Petersen and Cecil Petersen.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Petersen; his son Brett (Laura); his granddaughter Kayleigh Bauer; his great grandchild Cooper Girvan; his son Bryan (Tara); his grandsons, Andrew Bauer and Alec Bauer; his brother Charles Bauer (late Shirley); and his sisters-in-law, Sharon Campbell, Shirley Kemp, Shiela Petersen, Sharece Klimek, Sharla Ries, Suzanne Anderson and Shalain Sisco. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to UI Stead Family Children's Hospital, Iowa City Hospice, West Chester Heritage Association or West Chester United Methodist Church.
