He was predeceased by: his parents, John Jay and Mary Welty (Pippinger); his sister Arlene; and his son-in-law Carl. He is survived by: his wife Vera Ann Miller Hendricks; his children, Donald "Butch", Victoria (Jerry) and Melody; his stepchildren, Keith (Lisa), Belinda (John), Brenda (Dave), Bonnie (Dave) and Brent (Ana); and his sisters, Joyce and Maxine. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren, twenty four great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
