He was predeceased by: his father Gerhard van der Merwe. He is survived by: his mother Trish Wolmarans; his wife Molly; his son Luka; his siblings, Kimberlee and Connor; his aunt Karen; and his cousins, Keenan, Kyle, Shannon and Caira. He is also survived by his wife Molly's family and many friends.
