With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Russell Kaplan of Iowa Falls, Iowa, who passed away on September 13, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Kaplan and Stella Kaplan (Bailey); his sister Norma Kaplan Pommrehn; his nephew Melvin Valentine; and his brothers-in-law, Ben Schurr (Joann) and Don Irlbeck.
He is survived by: his wife Arlene Schurr of Iowa Falls; his sibling's children, Linda Valentine of Waterloo, Robert Pommrehn (Sheryl) of Waterloo and William Pommrehn (Angela) of Leander, Texas; his siblings-in-law, Jasper Schurr (Norma) of Spencer and Elaine Irlbeck of Council Bluffs; and his aunt Florence Kolosick of Cedar Rapids. He is also survived by numerous other nieces, nephews.
