He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Lauper and Lucile Lauper (Curry); his wife Sandra Lauper of Iowa Falls, Iowa; his children, William Lauper (Christina) of Murrieta, Lisa Liittschwager (Michael) of Iowa Falls and Michael Lauper (Sharon) of Colona, Illinois; his grandchildren, Jacob, William, Joshua, Elizabeth, Morgan, Andrew, James, Abigail, Carter, Jewel and Jackson; his siblings, Mary Lu Zellers (Richard) of Canyon Lake, Texas and John Lauper (Pamela) of Hollandale, Wisconsin; and his brother-in-law Edward Severson of San Diego. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
