He was predeceased by: his mother Hertilda Davelaar (Nobel). He is survived by: his father William Davelaar; his wife Cindy Van Middendorp; his children, Jordan (Sander) and Cody Davelaar (Madison) of Sioux Falls; his brothers, Wendell (Rose), Dan (Sheila) and Mark (Lisa); his parents-in-law, John and Leora Van Middendorp; and his siblings-in-law, Loren (Sandi), Arlo (Kristin), Loann Aardema (Dave) and Carmen Van Middendorp.
The Davelaar family prefer memorials be directed to the Three Rivers Cadet Council.
