Deanna Lee Lockhorst Obituary
We announce the death of Deanna Lee Lockhorst of Ireton, Iowa, who passed away on September 16, 2026, at the age of 87. Deanna will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbert "Wilbur" Cain and Elizabeth "Betty" Cain (Jensen); and her husband Don Lockhorst. She is survived by: her children, Melodee (Dana Grefe), Gary (Rhoda Lockhorst), Michael (Jan Lockhorst) and Nancy (Michael Johnson); her grandchildren, Eric, Robin Lockhorst, Bradley Grefe, Rachel Stahlecker, Danica Tereau, Andrew Johnson, Josiah, Lauren Johnson, Lauren Hope Johnson (Ben Williams), John Tayloe, Jenna and Josh Groven; her brothers, Dan Cain and Steve Cain (Connie); and her in-laws, Herm Oldenkamp and Sharon Cain. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the First Reformed Church (502 Ash St, Ireton, IA 51027). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
The family would like memorials be directed to the First Reformed Church in Ireton.
