Donald William Van Wyhe Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Donald William Van Wyhe of Ireton, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 5, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Wyhe and Helen Van Wyhe (Ganzeveld); his brother Ralph; his sister-in-law Shirley Van Wyhe; his sister Judy; his brothers-in-law, Milton Bauer and Jerry Meyer; his daughter Laura; and his grandson Jonathan Star.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy; his children, Lance, Arlette Van Wyhe (Wiemold), Noreen (Phil Dimick) and Pam (Bruce Wangerin); his grandchildren, Luke, Jen Van Wyhe, Krista, Matty Lisbon, Mandi, Steve King, Gus, Erika Briggs, Erica Nelson, Aaron Koob, Cody, Adrianna Star, RaeAnna Wangerin, Abe and Margarita Arreola; and his siblings, Jeanine Meyer and Daniel Van Wyhe. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:45 PM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church (602 Main St, Ireton, IA 51027). A prayer will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials be directed to the Orange City Hospice and the Care Initiatives of Plymouth County.
