He is survived by: his daughter Sara Tandog (Helbert) of Le Mars; his grandson Stephen; his nieces, Charisse Santema McNamara of Prescott and Rachel Santema Freeman of Council Bluffs; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Ellery, Logan and Ivy.
