It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vernon Brue of Irwin, Iowa, born in Shelby, Iowa, who passed away on February 16, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Linda Brue; his children, Bob Brue (Patty) of Harlan, Kristen Rusch (Jeff) of New Ulm, MN and Malisa Koesters (Michael) of Harlan; his grandchildren, Bradley Brue (Emily), Abbey Brue, Emily Koesters, Colton, Lucas, Aliah and Cooper Stanley; and his siblings, Joleen Koch (Gary) of Spirit Lake, IA, Becky Reinig (Mark) of Mound City, MO, Karen Wood (Dale) of Norwalk, IA and Ben Brue (Patty) of Jackson, MI. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
