He is survived by: his wife Audrey Ryan of Avoca, Iowa; his children, Bob Ryan (Shirley) and Debbie Pennington; his grandsons, Nick (Christina), Dan (Ginger), Brad, Alex (Jamie), Phil (Autumne) and Jake (Steph); his great grandchildren, Ethan, Elijah, Jonah, Hayley, Aubree, Haven, Levi, Mae, Evan and Austin; and his sisters-in-law, Rosalie and Saralee.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at 1005 Tarkington St, Harlan, IA 51537.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to Fresh Encounter Church in Harlan.
