He was predeceased by: his parents, James Nolan and Dorothy Nolan (Clark); his granddaughter Stephanie Herron; and his siblings, Donovan, Charlotte "Dixie", Raymond, Jerome, Daniel, Susan and Curtis.

He is survived by: his wife Teresa Nolan of Redfield; his children, Phil Nolan (Melynda), Kevin Nolan (Natalie), Sandy Herron (Chris), Cindi Nolan, Lacey Reynolds (Brad) and Andy Nolan (Hanna); his sister Juanita Bullard; and his brother-in-law Dave Anthony. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.
