He was predeceased by : his parents, Donald Leroy and Joan Pieper Christensen; and his siblings, Mary Frances Christensen, Jean Christensen Becker, Donald Paul Christensen and Jim Christensen.

He is survived by : his wife Diane Corcoran of Janesville; his children, Jason Christensen (Julia) of Marion, Jack Christensen (Melanie) of Traer, Sue Christensen of Ames and Sarah Sandberg (Dan) of Ames; and his sisters, Barb, Sue, Judy, Donna and Connie. He is also survived by grandchildren, step-children, nieces, and nephews.
