She was predeceased by: her parents, Cyril Butler and Beverly Butler (Gunion); and her grandson Jason Hald. She is survived by: her husband Woody DeForest of Woodbine; her children, Sherry (Mike Guyett) of Logan, Tim DeForest (Emily) of Woodbine, Todd DeForest (Keri) of Omaha, Heather (Hank Gruver) of Woodbine and Katie (Kellen Liddell) of Woodbine, Iowa; and her siblings, Pamela (Lawrence Rold) of Jacksonville, Sharon Blum (John Olinger), Thomas Butler (Diane) of Harlan and Scott Butler (Linda Stuhr) of Persia. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Calendar Fouts Funeral Home- Woodbine (501 Normal St, Woodbine, IA 51579). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Woodbine Cemetery (8 B 13th St, Woodbine, IA 51579).
