She was predeceased by : her parents, Paul Kerkove and Irene Kerkove (Ehr); her husband Gene Maurice Kester; and her siblings, Shirley Bagby, Madonna Coulter, Alice Fernau and Jack Kerkove.

She is survived by : her children, Debra Andrews, Barbara Farrell (Michael), Ronald Kester (Debora) of Jesup, Richard "Dick" Kester (Jeanette) of Jesup and Robert Kester (Theresa) of Albuquerque, NM; her grandchildren, Dana Harrold (Clay), Jenica Arias (Eddie), Shana Bangs (Nick), Kristin Hutchins (Ryan), Garrett Kester (Lauren), Kaitlyn Gabaldon of Ian Farrell, A. J, Mariah Farrell and Meghan Farrell; her great grandchildren, Kyla, Kensley, Emery Arias, Braylee, Coleton, Alayna Harrold and Lauren Hutchins; and her sisters, Margaret Dilts of Independence, Mary Teel (Frank) of Evansdale and Barb Fernald of Jesup.

Memorials will be directed to St. Joseph's Indian School, 1301 North Main Street, Chamberlain, SD, 57325, and other charities.
