With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Mary Doris Godwin (Johnston, Iowa), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Evron Roseke and Doris Roseke (Whitney); her husband Bob; and her granddaughter Sarah Flickinger. She is survived by: her children, Janelle Jones (Scott), Douglas Godwin (Susan), Kevin Godwin (Becky), Barbara Flickinger (Bruce) and Kendall Godwin (Shelly); her grandchildren, Robert Johnson, Kenneth Johnson, Matthew Johnson, Marah Vanderen (Alex), Amber Carsten (Bryan), Eric Godwin (Shaila), Shawna Mitchell (Kevin), Bradley Tomes (Amy), Kelly Poage (Dan), Lindsey Monaco (Matt), Rachel Bhramdat (Neel), Luke Flickinger (Jeannie), Jake Flickinger (Madelyn), Seth Godwin and Maranda Peterson (Emily); her siblings, Roger Roseke (Verdeen), Gloria Vreeman and Patricia Deyo; and her sister-in-law Lavon Linn (Lloyd). She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McLaren's Resthaven Funeral Chapel (801 19th St, West Des Moines, IA 50265). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Messiah Lutheran Church (6270 Merle Hay Rd, Johnston, IA 50131).

Memorial contributions may be made to the family and they will donate them to a charity to a charity of their choosing at a later date.
