It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Matthew John Clifton of Johnston, Iowa, who passed away on July 4, 2025, at the age of 50, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Matthew John Clifton to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his father Dick Clifton; and his father-in-law Lloyd Uitermarkt. He is survived by: his mother Louise Clifton of Ankeny; his daughter Marisel; his wife Holly Clifton; his daughter Mayzelin Clifton of Johnston; his sister Shelley; his brother-in-law Bobby Doyle of Runnells; his brother Chris; and his sister-in-law Susan Clifton of Ankeny. He is also survived by sixteen nieces, nephews; and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Westown Parkway (3601 Westown Pkwy, West Des Moines, IA 50266). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Lutheran Church of Hope (925 Jordan Creek Pkwy, West Des Moines, IA 50266).
