She was predeceased by : her parents, Ralph Sleichter and Erma Sleichter (Flynn); her husband Bob; her son John; her son-in-law Jim Litwiller; and her siblings, Dorotha Chapek, Norma Fry, Edith Moorhead, Richard, Carroll, Daniel and Vern Sleichter.

She is survived by : her children, Robert Kallaus (Judy) of Dayton, MN, Barb Peters (Don) of Washington, IA, Mary Litwiller (Lonny Oswald) of Kalona, IA and Kate Slaubaugh (Tom) of Kalona, IA; and her daughter-in-law Vanya Kallaus of Apple Valley, MN. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 28th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church (571 Howard St, Kalona, IA 52247). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 28th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery (2442 140th St, Kalona, IA 52247).

A memorial fund has been established for the Pleasantview Memory Care Unit.
