He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Whitmire and Betty Whitmire (Pitt); his sister Betty Gingerich; and his nephew Jeffrey Gingerich. He is survived by: his nephew Jason Gingerich (Julie) of Kalona.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Peterseim Funeral Home (201 B Ave, Kalona, IA 52247).
