She was predeceased by: her parents, Oran Kennel and Barbara Kennel (Springer); her siblings, Jeanette Barber, Anita Spenler, Darrell Kennel and Gene Kennel; her in-laws, Donna Kennel, Lenard Spenler, Ron Knippa, Tillie Kennel and Randy Howe; and her niece Elizabeth Kennel Williams (Betsy).
She is survived by: her husband Wilford D. Yoder; her daughters, Beth Parson (William) and Cindi Schrock (Roger); her grandchildren, Sarah Parson, Luke Parson, Hannah Leaman (Kevin) and Rachel Schrock (Sara Shenk Moreno); her great grandchild Amari; her siblings, Norman Kennel, Ila Howe, Shirley Knippa and Russ Kennel (Linda); Wilford.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the First Mennonite Church of Iowa City (405 Myrtle Ave, Iowa City, IA 52246).
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Elaine's memory to Iowa City Hospice, Pleasantview Home or First Mennonite Church of Iowa City.
