We bid farewell to Grace Eva McGeehon of Kalona, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 6, 2026 at the age of 105. Grace touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Leo Bates and Johanna Kaastra Bates; her husband Robert Cross McGeehon; her daughter Louise Herndon; her siblings, Olive (Harold Hansen), Lester (Caryle Bates) and Leland (Nancy Bates); and her in-laws, William, Betty McGeehon, Kathryn and Fred Light.

She is survived by: her daughters, Kathleen Clabough of Seattle, Priscilla McGeehon (Ken Smith) of New York City and Marilyn Pritchard (Kirkwood) of Elm Grove, Wisconsin; her son-in-law Ron Herndon of Des Moines; and her grandchildren, Carrie Herndon, Austin Herndon (Lynn), Robert Clabough (Sarah DeBonte), Scott Clabough, Kathryn Pritchard (Corwin Holzman), Sarah Pritchard and Emily Pritchard (Areli DeAnda). She is also survived by three great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in her name to Pleasantview Home or Hospice of Washington County, Iowa.
