With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joyce Ann Bender of Kalona, Iowa, who passed away on November 24, 2023 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Dale M. Brenneman and Iva Idella Brenneman (Schlabaugh); her son Rodney Bender; and her brother Gordon Brenneman. She is survived by : her husband Lloyd of Kalona; her daughters, Heather Bender of Washington and Heidi Willems (Drew) of Kalona; her grandchildren, Simon, Eden and Asa Willems; her siblings, Carolyn, Elaine Brenneman and Richard Brenneman (Chris); and her sister-in-law Cinda Hoskins (George).

A memorial fund has been established for Crooked Creek Christian Camp and Kalona Mennonite Church.
