She was predeceased by: her parents, David H. Bender and Susan J. Bender (Yoder); and her siblings, Katie Bender, Mabel Burkholder, Esther Miller, Sara Mae Swartzentruber, Anna Goode and Harvey D. Bender.
She is survived by: her brothers, Henry Bender (Yvonne) of Oregon and Enos Bender of Kalona; and her brothers-in-law, Manaas Burkholder, Francis Swartzenderuber and Joseph T. Miller. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial fund has been established for the Sharon Bethel School.
