The passing of Robert Lee Spenner Sr. of Kalona, Iowa leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on July 20, 2025 at the age of 88. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Spenner and Mabel Spenner (Wallace); his sister Ellen (Don Hochstedler); and his sister-in-law Karen Spenner. He is survived by: his wife Janet Kinkaid of Kalona; his children, Kathy Spenner of Kalona, Debra Kleese (Mark) of Washington, Jeff Spenner of Riverside and Jana Stout (Gary) of Washington; his grandchildren, Brandi, Jeremy, Travis, Brandon, Bryce, Breana, Brant and Brooke; and his brothers, John Spenner (Arlene) of Riverside and Donald Spenner of Mt. Pleasant. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Pleasantview Home Chapel (811 3rd St, Kalona, IA 52247). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
A memorial fund has been established for the Avenue of Flags at the Sharon Hill Cemetery.
