With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dwayne Hansen of Kanawha, Iowa, who passed away on February 1, 2026 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Hansen and Doris Hansen (Schaefer); and his siblings-in-law, Charles Thorburn, Marjorie Hansen, Helena Hansen and Douglas Roul.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene Roul; his children, Deborah Smith (Dan) of Mesa, Arizona and Daniel Hansen (Diane) of Kanawha, Iowa; his grandchildren, Joy Stringer (Paul Sitar) of Huntington Beach, Tony Hansen (Amy) of Des Moines, Kelsi McGinley (Michael) of Warsaw and Tracy Dodd of Newton, IA; his great grandchildren, Katka McGinley, Lindy Hansen, Warren Hansen, Bazil McGinley, Damek McGinley, Cashel McGinley, Aengus McGinley, Rafferty McGinley and Macee Tracy (Sam) of Iowa City, IA; his great great grandchildren, Sloane and Tripp Tracy; his siblings, Norman Hansen, Joy Taylor (John), Harlan Hansen (Virginia) and Ronald Hansen; and his sisters-in-law, Dorothy Roul and Jane Roul. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Britt Food Bank, the Kanawha Fire Department or a charity of your choice.
