With sadness, we share the passing of Roy Smith of Kanawha, Iowa. Roy, born on March 4, 1962, passed away on October 16, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Smith and Dorothy Smith (Bjorklund); his father-in-law Steve Niles; his sister Linda Ceglske; and his siblings-in-law, Sandy Smith, Darwin Hanna, Carl Shelman and Ken Dodd.
He is survived by: his wife Angela Smith of Kanawha; his daughter Heather Finely (Tim) of Independence; his grandchildren, Ronald, Rickie, Ryon, Rylin and Sonya Gordon of Des Moines, Iowa; his siblings, Vincent Smith, Ardith Shelman, Lowell Smith (Kathy), Doreen Dodd, Karen Hanna, Rose Brown (Bill) and Carol Plagge (Troy); his mother-in-law Carol Niles; and his brother-in-law Arlan Cegelske. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Ewing Funeral Home (118 E 2nd St, Kanawha, IA 50447).
