He was predeceased by: his parents, Dean Hanks and Beulah Hanks of Kelley, Iowa.; his sister Jeanne Foell (Arvin); his sister-in-law Cindy Hanks; and his nephew Mike Hanks.
He is survived by: his wife Claudia; his friend Bart; his children, Brook Holliday (Randy), Brittany Strumpfer (AJ) and Jacob Dean Hanks (Brittany); his grandchildren, Sunny and Waylon Strumpfer; and his siblings, Dennis Hanks (Pam), David Hanks and Mary Oxendine (Dale). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Hanks Family Farm (30760 530th Avenue, Kelley, IA 50314).
