She was predeceased by: her parents, W. R. Krome and Stella Miller Krome; her husband Larry Horner; her son John Horner; her grandson Briar Horner; her great grandchild Gunther Ames; and her siblings, Rodney Krome and Betty Hagemean.

She is survived by: her children, Corky Horner of Keokuk, Doug Horner (Dinette) of Keokuk, Cynthia Smith (Gene) of DeWitt, James Horner (Beth) of Montrose, Joe Horner (Tracy) of Fort Madison, Iowa and Scott Mead of Asheville. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; forty-one great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Oakland Sand Cemetery.
