Gene F. Knapp Obituary
In loving memory of Gene F. Knapp (Keokuk, Iowa), who departed this world on July 25, 2025 at the age of 80. Gene leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Knapp and Oda Knapp (Michelsen); his brother Rollin Knapp; his stepmother Gloria Freilinger; his stepbrother George Hansen; and his friend Rick Trachsel.
He is survived by: his wife Debbie Knapp of Keokuk; his daughters, Ashley Knapp-Brandenberger (Travis) of Keokuk and Lexie Shipley (Cole) of Keokuk; his grandchildren, Everly, Sutton Knapp-Brandenberger and Maeve Shipley; his cousins, Terry Knapp and Beth Young; his stepsisters, Loraine and Linda; and also Howie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Printy Funeral Home (917 Blondeau St, Keokuk, IA 52632-4921). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Mt. Vernon Cemetery (191 W Mt Vernon Rd, Waterloo, IA 50703).
Memorials may be directed to the family to be used for food and supplies for students in need at Canton R-V School District in Canton, Missouri.
