It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Mark Hoyt of Keokuk, Iowa, who passed away on November 21, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Earl and Genevieve Olive Varner Hoyt; his wife Linda S. Carroll; his daughter Dina Hoyt; and his siblings, Cynthia "Sue" Hoyt Colwell, Vernon Lee Hoyt Jr., David Hoyt and Bill Hoyt.
He is survived by: his children, Bryan Monohon (Golda) of North Liberty, Iowa and Jan Hoyt-Brown of Middletown, Iowa; his grandsons, Landon and Calvin; and his siblings-in-law, Arney Carroll (Susan) of Kahoka and Brenda Long of Bloomington, Illinois. He is also survived by many step grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
